Liverpool-based recruitment specialists, Courtney Recruitment has reported a further strong rise in permanent places at the beginning of 2017, following a strong finish to last year.
Turnover for people placed into permanent roles increased for the 12th consecutive month in January for the agency based in the business district, rising more than 50% from December. Although the job roles spanned a variety of disciplines, the business also reported a particularly strong demand for sales and marketing roles, suggesting economic buoyancy in the region for the coming year.
Elaine Courtney, Managing Director said: “So far, all the signals point to 2017 being an outstanding year in Liverpool for business growth. There is a definite sense of optimism in the air and businesses are looking to develop their senior management and sales teams, to drive their businesses forward despite the economic warnings and climate of uncertainty surrounding Brexit.”
