Bruntwood has appointed highly experienced property agent Tony Reed as its new head of sales in Liverpool.
Reed joins the family-owned property business following a 12-year career at Keppie Massie, where he was an associate partner, and will take up his new position in January.
His brief will be to maintain a buoyant period of new lettings for Bruntwood across its Liverpool city region portfolio, which includes The Plaza, Cotton Exchange, Queen Insurance Buildings and Oriel Chambers, amongst others.
He replaces current head of sales Matt Lee, who is moving to a similar role at Manchester Science Partnerships, in which Bruntwood is a leading shareholder.
Prior to his spell at Keppie Massie, Reed spent three years as an investment officer at Business Liverpool. He is also chair of the property group at business organisation Professional Liverpool and was named Estates Gazette’s Deal Maker of the Year for Merseyside in 2015.
Speaking of his appointment, Reed said: “Throughout my years working in the Merseyside property market, Bruntwood has always stood out for its long-term approach to customer relationships and the genuine passion it has for preserving and enhancing its buildings.
“Bruntwood’s portfolio in the Liverpool city region is an incredible blend of historic and purpose-built Liverpool landmarks, all refurbished and maintained to a very high standard. This is a wonderful opportunity for me to further enhance the great occupancy rates achieved over the past few years and I can’t wait to get started.”
Colin Forshaw, head of property at Bruntwood, said: “Tony is a well-known and successful figure in the city region’s property sector and his network is second-to-none. We have been pleased to attract so many new customers into our properties in recent years and we are confident Tony will further add to this upward curve.”
