For the fourteenth consecutive year, over 600 key members of Liverpool’s business community came together to celebrate Professional Liverpool’s ‘Cannes Do’. This year’s event was themed ‘The Independent State of Liverpool’, which was a light-hearted nod to the current political landscape. The slogan ‘Make Liverpool Great Again’ was plastered over signage and Trump-esque hats populated the photo booth.
Mersey Belles and Beaus provided the soundtrack by putting their own nostalgic spin on some Liverpudlian classics.This year’s chosen charity was An Hour For Others, an organisation that provides a support network for members of the Liverpool community who have hit hard times in life. Professional Liverpool would like to thank the local business community for their generous donations. The festivities raised a magnificent total of £13,874 for An Hour For Others.
Once again the compère without compare, Willie Miller waived his fee and a donation of £2,500 was made in place of this to Zoë’s Place, a charity that provides a variety of services to support families of babies with life limiting or life threatening illnesses.
