Planit-IE are carrying out a consultation, on behalf of Liverpool City Council, into the future of Williamson Square and Cavern Quarter. This will produce a Strategic Regeneration Framework document and influence future planning and developments.
Planit-IE want to hear from you. Liverpool City Council commissioned Planit-IE to lead a team of specialists to develop a vision and plan of action for the Cavern Quarter and Williamson Square. The aim is to reveal their true identity, improve their offer, attract investment and strengthen the linkages, both physical and cultural, between these two seemingly disassociated landmarks and the wider city.
Planit-IE have began to produce a Strategic Regeneration Framework (SRF) – a planning strategy with which Liverpool City Council can guide the type and form of development that comes forward and that is used to underpin a vision for this particular area of the city. During the past few months, Planit-IE have been engaging with as many stakeholders as possible, including business owners, tour operators, cultural institutions, and people with first hand knowledge and experience of the area’s past, present and future.
Planit-IE are going ahead with a holistic and collaborative approach to the evolution of this area and would like to invite you to their Symposium – an event designed to inform, share, learn and provoke. This is an opportunity for you to help guide and shape the vision for the Cavern Quarter and Williamson Square. Come along and be prepared to listen and contribute! Join Planit-IE for some interdisciplinary talks, debates and discussions on themes of planning, music, tourism, public realm, health and DIY attitudes and how these can inspire the future of the Cavern Quarter and Williamson Square.
Levy payers are invited to the symposium to present their findings on Thursday 24 January, 4pm-7pm at Epstein Theatre, 85 Hanover Street, L1 3DZ. Please rsvp to Anna on firstname.lastname@example.org.
