Commercial District Christmas Tree Switch on and Snowflake Trail Sculptures

Liverpool’s 1st Christmas Tree was switched on in St Paul’s Square in the heart of the Commercial District by Lord Mayor Tony Concepcion last night. (Thu,12 Nov).

The Lord Mayor was also took a tour of the Snowflake Sculpture studio where he met artists putting the finishing touches to the 1.5m high artworks which will be display across Liverpool city centre from Thursday, 19 November.

Last night’s event also featured performances at Prescient by mezzo soprano Danielle Thomas and the choir from Broughton Hall RC Secondary School in Huyton.

The event marked the one week countdown to the launch of The Snowflake Trail.
