Metquarter is gearing up for a spooktacular half term, with a host of events and activities planned for kids, families, and food and drink lovers from 25 – 31 October.

→ The Dead Have Risen at GPO
25 – 31 October

A weeklong Halloween event will take over GPO, Liverpool’s largest food hall. The Dead Have Risen promises Halloween brunch, face painting, dressing up, themed food and cocktail challenges. With a pumpkin patch, trick or treating, and £5 cocktails for anyone who dresses up or quotes the secret code (‘The Dead Have Risen’), there’s something for everyone. Come early for brunch and face painting or stay late for devilish drinks!

→ Frightful films at Everyman Cinema
All week

Everyman Cinema is queuing up a selection of scary films to ring in Halloween. Younger viewers will love animated comedy The Addams Family 2. We find Morticia and Gomez distraught that their children are growing up, skipping family dinners, and totally consumed with “scream time.” Grown up horror fans could take their seats to witness the return of Jamie Lee Curtis in Halloween Kills, in which she once again takes on Michael Myers.

→ Christmas wreaths arrive at MQ Flowers
Tuesday 26 October

Anyone setting their sights ahead of Halloween and onto the Christmas season will want to pay a visit to MQ Flowers this Tuesday. The renowned florists will be stocking their first Christmas wreaths of the season, and those who arrive first will have the pick of the crop. The dried wreaths will be seasonal showstoppers, lasting up to Christmas and beyond.

Jennina O’Neill, Centre Manager at Metquarter says:

“We’re gearing up for a brilliant half term at Metquarter. GPO is pulling out all the stops, and we’re expecting ghoulishly good times throughout the centre! As Autumn rolls on, there’s lots of exciting things happening at Metquarter. From the independent food vendors serving up some of the most exciting and heart-warming dishes in the city, to the artists of Art Quarter creating spectacular pieces right here in the building, and beautiful seasonal fashion calling to shoppers from every store window, there is a real buzz about the place.”
