A PSPO (Public Space Protection Order) is in place in Liverpool city centre since 7 January 2020 to prevent people obtaining money whilst attempting and succeeding in selling articles or entertainment in the public highway which has been causing a detrimental effect to the well-being of children within the city centre, as well as, people living, visiting or working in the area for a sustained period of time.
