Christmas 2017 – BID funded projects

On behalf of our BID levy payers we work closely with key city stakeholders in Liverpool to make sure the BID areas are joined up with the city-wide Christmas campaign, One Magical City. This includes funding a whole host of projects, from creative Christmas Lighting and workshops, to interactive light and sound installations and promotional marketing campaigns.

We invite you to find out about all the projects your BID levy have funded during Christmas 2017.

Follow the Star – Celestial Lights – Church Street

Also, part of our partnership with Liverpool City Council  ‘Celestial Light’ bathes the Primark building in colour. It will run during the Christmas season, physically changing and growing, providing a celebration of light & energy. Taking in many forms, patterns and hues, emitting tones, sonic textures and beautiful motifs.

Christmas Tree Church Street

Follow the Star – Christmas Tree – Church Street

Play the Tree

Play the Tree – Williamson Square

We appointed Open Culture to bring a special animated Christmas Tree to Williamson Square. The multi-coloured illuminations of ‘Play the Tree’ come to life by simply placing the hands on the six touch sensors around the base. “Play the Tree” has been designed and created by artist, Simon Armstrong and creative technologist, Adrian McEwen.

Christmas Tree St Paul's Square

Christmas Tree – St Paul’s Square
