Ranelagh Street area – Carriageway Resurfacing Works

Liverpool City Council’s Amey Streetscene Services inform that the proposed highway improvement work in and around Ranelagh Street are due to recommence on Monday 8th January 2018 following the relaxation of the Christmas embargo period.

As a result of the above, sections of carriageway will be closed to traffic to allow the resurfacing of the carriageway to be undertaken safely whilst works continue in other areas of the site under lane closures.

In addition to the above, the taxi bays and loading bays on Ranelagh Street are being fully reconstructed and will be closed from 08.00hrs Monday 8th January and remain closed until the reconstruction of these areas allows them to be safely reopened.

The full site limits are shown in the map below, but sections of carriageway will be closed outside of these areas to facilitate traffic flows.

The road closures are scheduled to commence at 20.00hrs and be removed by 06.00hrs Monday – Thursday nights inclusive and expected to take 4 weeks to complete.

The operations are susceptible to the influences of weather and as such the time scales mentioned above will be subject to change.
