The Body Shop are helping to empower women by joining the ‘Menstrual Movement’.
This is a movement that aims to change the reality that so many women in poverty across the world face, an inability to afford basic and necessary period products. These women are often forced to resort to using socks stuffed with tissues, toilet paper or fabric scraps, a distressing occurrence that the charity Bloody Good Period are aiming to prevent.
The Body Shop are contributing to this effort by asking the public to drop off menstrual products in their stores which will then be distributed to refugees, asylum seekers and those living in poverty.
