At a time of Brexit doom and gloom it makes a nice change to be celebrating success. Liverpool based hairdressing chain Voodou have been doing just that.
At a prestigious national award ceremony held on Monday night in London they were awarded ‘Marketing Campaign of the Year’ beating some of the top names in the hairdressing industry. It is the third time that Voodou have been recognised at these awards.
The British Hairdressing Business Awards is an annual event which aims to recognise the business side of the industry. Each year entries are invited across a number of categories including innovation, salon design, stylist of the year and marketing campaign of the year. Entries undergo a rigorous judging process before winners are finally announced at a glitzy London ceremony. This year’s awards were hosted by TV personality Vernon Kay.
Commenting on the win, Voodou MD Rob Webb said:
“We are beyond delighted to have won this award. We have an extremely talented team of stylists and barbers and a very loyal client base but, like all businesses, we strive continuously to attract new guests”.
“Marketing is an important part of what we do and we have always been known to push boundaries. It is great to get this recognition for our latest campaign and for this to be our 3rd British Hairdressing Award is just unbelievable”.
Voodou won the award for an innovative digital advertising campaign to attract new clients which ran across social media platforms. The campaign was developed in collaboration with digital marketing agency Salon Guru and brought in an impressive 670 new clients to the business over a 6 month period.
